Following on from last month where we reported the latest Facebook stats for July, here are the Facebook stats for New Zealand, Australia and USA as of today (18 August).
One thing that is clear is that older age groups are accounting for a large amount of the growth on Facebook over the past month. The 50+ age group in New Zealand only accounts for 13% of the total NZ Facebook population, however it has grown by 10% since last month!
This is not quite 'hot of the press', but still interesting. I just noticed that Sean Kauppinen of IDEA had posted a link some time ago containing a summary of USA gamer statistics from the ESA (Entertainment Software Association).
You would think, in a digital age such as ours, that collecting and reporting statistics on a population's gaming habits would be simple. In these days of internet-connected devices you may think data about our games and gaming habits would be streaming to a server somewhere for collection, but alas, that is not the case. Human rights notwithstanding.
