Sheepish update live... but icon refuses to change!

The update that Pete blogged about a few weeks back is live! For those that are interested it, and the update to Sheepish Lite, took 19 days to be approved by Apple which seems to be pretty consistent with the wait experienced by other developers at the moment. Whether things will speed up now that OS3.0 is live or not remains to be seen.

The update has seen a huge jump in downloads of the lite version, with a smaller increase in sales of the full version. Presumably this is due to greater visibility from being in the new releases section of the app store but we also took the opportunity to do some more posting on forums which may have helped.

So the update is a pretty big overhaul and hopefully our users like the changes we have made. The only problem has been that the app icon on the device is refusing to change!

A few months ago we updates the in-store icon to have a sale banner on it and Apple requires that the store and app icons match so we duly changed the app icon also. With this update we have reverted back to the old 'clean' icon and it has updated just fine on the store (both on device and computer) and even in the Applications section within iTunes. But the app icon on the device still has the sale banner across it!

Currently searches have yielded no information about this problem or how to fix it which has me wondering if it is an OS3.0 issue with changing icons in updates. Anyway, I've put the word out to my fellow devs around the world to see if anyone else is having the same issues  so we'll wait and see!
